Agege United Leaders and Elders Forum(AGULEF) has called on members of Udu Timber Union in Udu Local Government Area to vote massively for all the candidates of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections to enable them give people-oriented programmes that would better the lots of Nigerians.

Addressing members of the Union while on a campaign/consultative visit on them(Udu Timber Union), Archbishop Philip E. Orovwuje(JP), Chairman, Agege United Leaders and Elders Forum (AGULEF) disclosed that Delta State deserves the best in terms of governance and the Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege is the best choice to take over as Governor come 2023 to enable him give the state purposeful leadership as well as put in place legacy projects for the overall benefit of the Deltans and resident non Deltans.

Archbishop Orovwuje assured the members of the Union and Deltans of Omo-Agege’s determination to give the state a new direction in terms of infrastructural and human capital developments, adding, “I want to use this opportunity to call on you, all Deltans and Nigerians to vote for the candidates of the APC, from the President through the Governor, Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly to enable them work in synergy to move our country and state to greater heights.”

Earlier, in a welcome speech, Mr. Edafe Opinobe, Chairman, Udu Timber Union disclosed that their membership of over 2000 has created a viable economy for Udu Kingdom in particular and the Delta State in general adding that all they need is a conducive atmosphere for their businesses to thrive as well as create more business opportunities for others.

While acknowledging that the Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege has been doing his best in attracting viable infrastructural projects to the State, Mr. Opinobe said that if given the mandate, he should ensure that he provides them with solar lights, transformers for regular lighting of the lumbering industrial environment and good road network.

Responding, Archbishop Orovwuje assured them that their votes would not be wasted saying that if given the mandate, Omo-Agege would even do more for the people.

Prince Frank Ugen, General Secretary of AGULEF and Comr. Ekebor E. Oghenevovwero were at the consultative meeting.
