Despite the heavy military presence in the creeks of the Niger Delta, the dreaded militant group, Niger Delta Avengers, have once again crippled the production activities of Chevron Nigeria Limited blowing up its two vital oil Wells in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The Niger Delta Avengers who claimed responsibility for the destruction of the oil Wells in their twitter handle at about 3 am Wednesday also identified the oil Wells as  Chevron Bibi Oil Well RMP 23 and RMP 24.

The tweet reads, “With heavy presence of 100 Gunboats, 4 Warships and Jet bombers, NDA blew up Chevron Oil Well RMP23 and RMP24 3:44am this morning.”

“This is to show the whole world that Nigerian military is good in harassing innocent civilians.”

A community member close to the source of the incident told our correspondent under strict anonymity, that all the waters around that area have been polluted with the oil oozing out of the blown up wells.
