The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said it is only God that can defend any nation, Nigeria and offers the people security, just as he led prayers for Armed Forces, Police, Paramilitary in Nigeria.

Speaking at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Champions Cathedral, Airport road in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State marking the 50th special birthday thanksgiving service of Pastor Emmanuel Emefienim; Pastor Adeboye said it is only God who can defend any nation and offers the people security.

Pastor Adeboye, who spoke on the topic, “Our Shield and Our Defender” noted that some Nigerians rely on body guards for their security, urging worshippers to let God be their body guards.

He prayed for God’s empowerment and wisdom to the Armed Forces, Police, Paramilitary Officers to carryout their assignments as well as the protection of their families.

I want to specially thank God for the lives of these people. I know many may think they are not doing enough. Just imagine what the nation would have been without them, he also that “No matter how small a nation is, they need these people for their safety and security.”

While describing Officers as great people, they should not be criticized but pray for, “We need to understand that these people are human beings and they have their limitations.”

Adeboye said that the country would be a better place if the citizenry concentrate more in preparing for where they would spend eternity.

The cleric, therefore, urged Nigerians to focus more on matters concerning God, saying “if we are all focusing on things of God, knowing that sooner or later we will leave, the world will be a better place”.

Some of us do not know the way but, someone has shown the way by saying, I am the way, the truth and the life,’’ he stated.

While appealing to those who have not surrender their lives to God to do so speedily saying, “seek first the kingdom of God and everything will be added to you for there is darkness out there.”

On his part, Governor Okowa congratulated Pastor Emefienim for attaining 50 years of age, noting that it was a major milestone.

He described Emefienim, Executive Director in Sterling Bank, as a humble man who has been blessed by God and is extending the blessing to the people and winning souls for God.

According to the Governor, beyond winning souls, his church is doing a lot for our people and the government. Pastor Emefienim is showing a lot of love to people.

“Pastors should continue to impact on the less-privileged and attracting the youths to God. There is a time to reap all that you have done,” he said.
