He stated Monday in Asaba during his resumption and taking over of the affairs of the Ministry, maintaining that civil servants would always remain to implements policies and directives at the Ministry while commissioners may not remains for long.

He commended the outgoing Commissioner, Prof Hope Eghagha for his ability to turn around the Ministry for good, assuring that with the level of performance it would be difficult to upturn his policies in the past and some he has as plans.
The commissioner claimed he has worked at the Ministry of Power and Energy and that the experience he garnered there would be an advantage for him to do better at the new Ministry, pleading that with the cooperation from the workers at the Ministry he would be able to take the Ministry to the next level.
While reminding that the time is short for the present administration to wind up considering the election processes on the ground, he maintained that he would try his best with the fact that he already knows one or two problems facing the Ministry through the former Commissioner.
Emetulu asked the Permanent Secretary and the Directors in the Ministry to furnish him with comprehensive briefs of all the happenings in the Ministry, to study them, act on them and act as templates to kick off.
Earlier, Prof Hope Eghagha, immediate past Commissioner, enjoined the workers to extend to the new man the cooperation they gave him since both of them share the same philosophy.

He particularly said the Permanent Secretary should furnish him with the developments about unionism in schools, budget defense, pension schemes and others considering that the administration would soon come to an end.
