From left: Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan and Senator James Manager

An environmental expert, Mr  Hosanna Jalogho-Williams on Sunday said that the immediate past governor of Delta state, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and the senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, Senator James Manager, are not fit to represent the district.
Jalogho-Wiliams who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Seabridge Environmental Marine Ltd, therefore called on the Delta South people not to vote for the duo, saying they have both failed the state in their various capacities.
Jalogho-Williams, a kinsman of Uduaghan who spoke to National Reformer in Warri alleged that  the immediate past governor, Dr Uduaghan has lost his credibility since he left office in 2015 alleging that he has nothing to show for all his years in government.
He said Uduaghan does not have what it takes to become the senator representing the people Delta South because, according to him, “Uduaghan has failed as a commissioner, Secretary to the Delta State Government and as a former governor.”
Jalogho-Williams further said that Uduaghan goofed when he told the world during an interview on Channels TV recently,  that the legacy he left behind as Delta state governor was seeing pregnant women deliver safely while he was in office.
“Recently in an interview on Channels TV with Moape, when he was asked what his legacy was, he said his joy is seeing pregnant women deliver safely. But he forgot that whether women are delivering safely or not, there was already a budget for health. So it is his duty to ensure that women deliver safely. Why are you using that as an achievement, it is his duty. So he should not have said that at all,” Jalogho-Williams said.
The environment expert added that Dr Uduaghan failed in providing educational infrastructure to Deltans, stressing that during Uduaghan’s tenure the standard of education in the state was nothing to write home about.
While saying that it was not enough for Uduaghan to pay the West African Examination Certificate (WAEC) exam fees for students in the state, Jalogho-Williams added that Uduaghan failed to train the teachers who were supposed to teach the children.
“How can you pay WAEC fees for students who knew nothing. We are talking about foundation here. If the foundation is not strong what are the students going to write?
“In theology we say, if the foundation is bad what can the righteous do. These days parents spend so much in acquiring knowledge for their children. But in our time the missionaries took over and that is why we are speaking so succinctly today because the quality of education at that time was good,” he said.
Jalogho-Williams also took a swipe at the senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, Senator James Manager, describing him as a ‘sleeping senator.’
‘I don’t know if you have ever seen a man who is pretending to be sleeping. He is the most difficult person to be woken up from his slumber. As far as I am concerned, James Manager is a weak man who is just looking at the crowd and taking his small money as salary home. This message is for the general public.
“I want to let them know that we have a sleeping senator in Delta South senatorial district who is weak, inactive, unproductive, yielding nothing and going round the same circle. There is nothing to write home about Senator Manager,” Jalogho-Williams said.
