Isreal Gana disclosed that they went at great length to provide all necessary equipment required in the Health Centre including a fully equipped delivery department with Oxygen and other life sustaining gadget, equipment of Doctor’s residence and so on.

He remarked further that they ensure regular supply of needed drugs from time to time and commended the matron-in-charge, Makpamieku Eyitemi Tracy for her diligence and dedication to duty.

The Health Centre located at a prime position in the community is well fenced with 24 hours solar powered water supply and electricity from the national grid.

Receiving the renovated facility, the Executive Chairman of Warri South L.G.A, Dr. Michael Tidi represented by the Executive Secretary of the Health Department of the Council, Dr. Tosan Sagay commended Shafa Energy for their commitment to ensuring that the people have access to affordable health care at all times and task other companies operating in Ifiekporo to emulate her, assuring that the council would do the needful to keep the facility functioning effectively and efficiently.

Speaking on behalf of the community, Pa. Francis Eyifome commended Shafa for the wonderful renovation job but requested for more medical personnel to assist the matron-in-charge as she alone cannot be running 24 hours duty daily.

He noted that the Doctors’ residence has been lying vacant for this long even as he requested that special financial assistance be extended mostly to elderly people in the community.

He further demanded that the facility be upgraded to a Cottage Hospital because of the equipment in the centre.
