The Olaraja of Ugbuwangue community, Prince Agidotan Edede Yonwuren.

The Olaraja of Ugbuwangue community in Warri South Council Area of Delta State, Prince Agidotan Edede Yonwuren, on Monday called on residents of the community to embrace peace and live together as one.

The Olaraja who made this call when members of the Ugbuwangue Christian Association came to pray for him at his residence in Ugbuwangue, promised to do his best to ensure that peace reigns in the community.

While commending the Ugbuwangue Christian Association for recognizing him as the Olaraja of the community, Yonwuren urged the Christians in Ugbuwangue to always pray for peace in the community, saying peace was necessary for development to come to the community.

The Olaraja who disclosed that his Thanksgiving would take place on the September 5, 2019, urged all Christians in the community to live in harmony with one another irrespective of the denomination they belong to, saying;  “We  are all worshipping one God.”

“All the pastors in Ugbuwangue community have all come to greet me as the new Olaraja of Ugbuwangue community. Almost all the churches in this community and the Mosques in this community all came to this community through my effort.

“This is why when they heard that I am now the Olaraja of this community, they decided to come and greet me. All of them are very happy that I am now the new Olaraja of the community.

“As the new Olaraja of this community, I want to assure all the people living in this community that I will do my best to protect everybody. I will also ensure that there is peace in the community.

“I will disagree with anybody that does not want peace in this community. I wantv eeverybodyo to live in peae with each other. Apart from that I want all of us to put hands together and develop the community,” the Olaraja told our Correspondent in Warri.

He also commended the role the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli, played in his emergence as the Olaraja of Ugbuwangue.

“I want to salute the Olu of Warri for all he has done in ensuring that I became the Olaraja of this community. I want to thank him for his wisdom in making sure that this has come to pass. I promise everybody living in this community that I will do my best to ensure that everybody, irrespective of their tribe, live in peace and harmony with each other,” he said.

Earlier, the Chairman, Ugbuwangue Christian Association, and Pastor of Love Baptist Church, Rev. Chimeze Daniels,  said that they believe that the reign of the Olaraja will usher in peace and development in the community.

“I want to advice the Ugbuwangue people to come together and work with the Olaraja. Though as a human being he is bound to make mistakes but they should look beyond his mistakes and accept him as he is.

“I also want all the Christians in the land to pray for him to succeed. We all know what development means to everybody. If we join hand with the community in prayer I know the light of the Lord will shine in the land,” Rev Chimeze said.
