By Ovedhe Jerry.
People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ozoro Ward 2 Leaders and Executives have expelled Engr. Henry Odhegolor’s from the party for creating a Parallel Ward Excos against the Pst. Akalamudo Omovototu led Executive.
Delta State PDP Legal Adviser, Barr. Bernard Odior who is from Ozoro Ward 2 stated this in a chat with this reporter in Ozoro, the headquarter of Isoko North Local Government Council after a meeting between the executives of the ward.
He said Odhegolor has not declared his membership to the Party and his name was not in the Party’s Register, adding “we cannot accommodate him and his group because they are working for APC from information gathered.”
“Those who are causing distraction are agents of APC and we are going to show them the way out because they are rebels. From all indications, Odhegolor is from APC, Ochie-Ogboru Camp to promote crisis/conflict with faction; as such Ward 2 are saying that Odhegolor is not a PDP member” Odior said.
Bar. Odior also added that, some empowerment form from the Federal to the State and through Arch. Joseph Ogeh that were given to Odhegolor is not acceptable.
He therefore, cautioned Ogeh not to deal with Odhegolor and keep clear from Ozoro politics even as he said Ogeh was encouraging Anti Party Activities.
The State Legal Adviser of the PDP further disclosed that, the inauguration of parallel excos done at the residence of Odhegolor did not have the blessing of the Local Government and State level and has nothing to do with them.
He noted that “the Barrister that did the swearing in at an individual compound in close door on the 3rd of August, 2016 impersonated his position as Legal Adviser positing that, the Assistant Legal Adviser of the Party at the state level was in Ibadan and that, the factional Excos have no stand”.
The meeting which was well attended by many including Mr. Thomas Amuke – Legal Adviser Ozoro Ward 2 and Prince Uyo Francis unanimously resolved that, Odhegolor has been expelled and a follow up letter will be written to the Local Government and State levels of the Party respectively.
