Presenting the Awards to the recipients, the Chairman, NIESV, Delta State, ESV. (Chief) Chief Sir Efe Appih, said the institution decided to give the awards to the recipients as a way of appreciating the contributions they have made in the development of the institution.
ESV. Appih noted that it good to appreciate people who have worked tirelessly for the institution while they are still alive rather than writing tributes about them on a piece of paper when they are dead.
He stressed that all the award recipients have contributed one way or the other to the development of the institution, adding that it was high time the institution began to appreciate all those who have done the institution proud.
ESV Appih said that the gala night was a day set aside for members of the institution to wine and dine together after working all through the year, adding that members deserve the right to relax their nerves after a hard days work.
