Tinubu Harps On Sustainable Peace @ Grassroots, Commends Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom

President Bola Tinubu harped on the need to sustain peace at the grassroots just as he congratulated HRM Emmanuel E. Sideso, Abe 1, Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom as he celebrates his 18th Coronation Anniversary with a book launch weekend.

President Tinubu who was represented by Chief Festus Keyamo, (SAN), Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development emphasized the importance of sustaining peace across the Nation during the unveiling of HRM Sideso JP OON Abe I autobiography, “Odyssey of Royalty.”

President Tinubu said that the Monarch’s reign was a testament to peace being enjoyed in his Kingdom.

President Tinubu assured that the present administration will continue to accord traditional rulers across the country their due respect and urged them to play prominent roles in engendering peace in their various kingdoms.

President Tinubu acknowledged the positive contributions of the Uvwie Monarch in fostering peace and development, highlighting his collaboration with federal authorities to enhance local governance.

The President expressed pride in the Ovie’s leadership and wished him continued health and longevity.

In his remarks, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State highlighted the occasion as a celebration of legacy and the Uvwie monarch’s enlightened leadership, which has promoted stability and development.

Rt. Hon. Oborevwori who was represented by Prince Johnson Erijo, Chief of Staff, Government House described the reign of HRM Sideso as “impactful, stabilizing and development-driven”.

The Governor described the biography as a source of inspiration for future leaders, aligning his administration’s M.O.R.E. Agenda with the values of the Uvie leadership

In his keynote address, HRM Sideso Abe 1 expressed his appreciation to the people of Uvwie Kingdom for their support throughout his 18-year reign, emphasizing the significance of documenting personal histories.

According to HRM Sideso, “until the lion tells his side of the story, the tale of the hunt will always glorify the hunter,” reflecting on his journey and the transformation of Uvwie Kingdom.

The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom called for National unity and a constitution that promotes justice, urging traditional rulers to collaborate for societal upliftment.

He expressed optimism for Nigeria’s future, reaffirming faith in the Nation’s resilience.

Launching the book, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo who was the Chief launcher represented by Hon Silver Ofughara calls for more support for the Ovie’s reign, as his 18 years have significantly transformed the kingdom.

High Chief Ekpemupolo stated that the Uvwie monarch has transformed the kingdom to greater height.

Chief Anthony Ofoni Chairman, Uvwie local Government Council, Prof. Joe Abugu (SAN), the book reviewer and Chief Omafume Amurun, a veteran journalist amongst other also praised the Ovie’s commitment to education, noting the scholarships he had provided to over two thousand students in Uvwie.
