Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State

A former Deputy Chief Whip at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Taleb Tebite has said that the “Okowa we Know, the Okowa we Support” is a political pressure group to drum up support for the re-election of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in 2019.

Hon Tebite, aspiring to represent Ughelli South again at the State Legislature, vowed to mobilise Delta Central people to vote for Governor Okowa in 2019. He made the declaration at a mega rally held in Agbor, Ika South LGA at the weekend, noting that the group has carefully studied the activities of the Governor in the last three years and is much convinced that he has performed excellently well.

The former lawmaker stressed that the achievements of Governor Okowa in Delta Central have gladdened the heart of Urhobo people and this has prompted the Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, to honour him with one of the most prestigious titles in Urhobo nation.

Co-convener of the rally and member representing Ika South Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon Festus Okoh said the Ika people are proud of Governor Okowa as his achievements across the State speak volumes.

Hon. Okoh urged Deltans to support the re-election bid of Governor Okowa so that they can continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

The Director General of Taleb Tebite Campaign Organisation, Dr Matthew Kwode commended Governor Okowa for successfully implementing his SMART Agenda and urged eligible voters who are yet to register or collect their permanent voter cards, PVC, to do so now to enable them vote for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in 2019.

For his part, the chairman of Ika South Council, Mr Victor Okoh commended the organisers of the rally and called on the youths to sensitize residents of their various communities to vote for Governor Okowa in 2019.

Over 5000 youths in the political pressure group endorsed Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for a second tenure.

The group whose membership cuts across the 25 LGAs of the State, defied the heavy downpour on Saturday morning to show their solidarity for Governor Okowa and the PDP.

Highlight of the event was the endorsement of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for Governor in 2019.
