Suspected hoodlums on Tuesday afternoon chased Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, some members of his entourage as well as representatives of the Okere-Urhobo Kingdom immediately after the governor commissioned the newly renovated and rehabilitated 48 classrooms block at Edjeba Community, Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State.

Dr. Emmanjuel Uduaghan’s security details allegedly paving the way
for his convoy to escape from the premises of Dom-Domingos College,
Warri when the hoodlums struck after the commissioning of the
institution.

Our Correspondent who was at the scene of the incident reports that the youths who brandished weapons such as daggers, knives, shovels, stones and other dangerous instruments pounced on Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s convoy after he allegedly doled out an unspecified amount of money to the youth of Edjeba Community for unclear reasons.

The youths who were suspicious of their colleague as to the where about of the money, pounced on the governor’s convoy living the windscreens of several commercial tricycles shattered as they they allegedly dispossesed road users off their personal effects.

Journalists were not left out of the matter as they had to scamper for safety.

It took the intervention of the security details attached to the governor to pave the way for his convey to escape from the premises of Dom-Domingos College to his residence before embarking on his journey to his country home for the commissioning of the newly Constructed Abigborodo Road in Warri North Local Government Area, Delta State.

As at the time of filing this report, the hoodlums were scene on camera proceeding to the premises of Delta State Water Board along Airport Road to unleash more terror on the governor.

However, an ethnic undertone has been read to the ugly incident with some guests at the event claiming that the hoodlums accused the Itsekiris of allegedly coming to sabotaged them in their lands.
