TRANS-WARRI ODE-ITSEKIRI BRIDGES AND ACCESS ROAD is 73.7% COMPLETED- ADAMS.

The special Project Director of the Multi Billion Naira Trans-Warri Ode-Itsekiri Bridges and Access Road, Project, Chief Otimeyin Adams has stated that the project is 73.7% completed.

Chief Adams made this disclosure Thursday in Warri, Delta State when students of Course 44 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Nigeria paid a study visit to the project in continuation of their research work to assist in chatting the way forward toward solving the developmental and infrastructural problems in Nigeria.

Chief Adams further stated that the project aimed at opening up and linking several Itsekiri communities in the riverine area of Warri South Local Government Area through the connecting bridges and roads to a more vibrant socio-economic life and cross fertilization of ideas, maintained that importance of the project cannot be over emphasized saying “that is why Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in this magnanimity paid #8billion of the #9billion debt profile inherited from the Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan administration and profusely commended him for the gesture.

Accordingly to Chief Adams, the major challenge facing the project is lack of adequate funding as at when due as a result of paucity of funds affecting both the federal and state governments as result of the global economic meltdown and effects of the covid-19 pandemic.

Responding, leader of the Course 44 Jaji team, Air commodore C.O. Obiabaka commended the state government for embarking on such gigantic project intended to raise the living standards of the masses and create employment for the teaming unemployed youths to reduce incidences of youth restiveness and militancy in the area.

He thanked Chief Adams and the management of Setraco Construction Company for a wonderful job and warm reception afforded the visiting students and assured that the Command and Staff College is prepared to partner with the project contractor when called upon to do so.
