Ogor charges residents to be security conscious

Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Leo Okuweh Ogor has charged residents of Ozoro Kingdom, headquarters of Isoko North Local Government Area to be security conscious and report all strange acts and movements around them to security agencies.

Hon. Ogor gave this charge recently at the 8th Edition of the Opute Day Cultural Festival held at the palace of the Ovie of Ozoro Kingdom HRM Barr. Anthony Uvietobore Ogbogbo (JP), Ibuka 1,

The Federal Lawmaker speaking as the Chairman of the occasion chooses to address security consciousness following reports of criminal activities in Ozoro and environs.  Also,  he used the occasion to thank the people of Ozoro Kingdom for the massive support he has been getting from them over the years and urged them to continue in that light while assuring them of greater dividends of democracy.

Earlier in his speech, the President General of Ozoro Progress Union (OPU) Sir Raphael Afemari stated that the objectives of the Opute Day Celebration was to showcase the rich Ozoro Cultural heritage, to promote unity of Ozoro sons and daughters both at home and in diaspora as well as providing a forum for deliberations on contemporary issues affecting the Kingdom with a view to proffering solutions.

He also used the occasion to commend Rt. Hon. Leo Ogor for singlehandedly building and donating 18 classrooms and laboratories to Alaka Grammar School, Ozoro.

The occasion which was quite entertaining with good display of dance skills and folktales was attended by several dignitaries including Rt. Hon. Leo Okuweh Ogor, Commissioner Public Complaints Commission, Sir M.O.C. Eto,  Executive Chairman of Isoko North, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor, Vice Chairman Hon. Anthony Odhe, APC Delta State House of Assembly Candidate for Isoko North Constituency Sir Andrews Elueni, Martins Ugbeguo, HRM Ovie R.L. Ogbon, Ogoni-Oghoro I, the Owhorode of Olomu Kingdom, HRM, Othuke Murphy Urugbezi, Ogwara I, the Ovie of Ellu Kingdom, council Chiefs amongst other dignitaries.
