Okowa’s wife set to commission sickle cell clinic in Central Hospital, Warri

A Sickle Cell Clinic, with standard ward as well as office for medics, equipped with medical facilities and expansive hall for medical briefing of in-and-out sickle cell patients, is set for commissioning at the Central Hospital, Warri, by the Wife of Delta State Governor, Her Excellency, Dame Edith Okowa.
The Clinic, billed for inauguration by 10.00am Friday July 30, is courtesy of the ingenuity of 05 Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organization, founded by Dame Edith Okowa.
Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, in a statement released Wednesday July 28, enjoined those attending the ceremony, to be seated before 9:30am.
The Warri South Council Boss, commended the Delta State First Lady, Dame Edith Okowa for initiating the medical facility, saying it is the latest in the series of free medical programmes and upgrade of medical facilities, carried out by the 05 Initiative.
Dr. Tidi, urged people of Warri South Local Government to come out in good numbers to receive the governor’s wife and members of 05 Initiative, just as he enjoined people of the area to take advantage of the quality service delivery, the Sickle Cell Clinic is expected to provide.
