In a determined bid to increase the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, Prof. (Engr.) Emmanuel A. Ogujor, Rector of the Institution initiated the construction of a table water factory.

The state-of-the-art water factory is set to kick start production following approval by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), the facility will produce both sachet and table water.

Speaking on the successful completion and approval by NAFDAC, Prof Ogujor stated that the primary aim of embarking on the project is to provide clean, safe and hygienic water to the Polytechnic community and it’s environ.

He said that the establishment of the project is also aimed at providing job opportunity to the host community as member of the community will be engage to work in the factory.

Prof. Ogujor added, “furthermore, there are laudable projects that have been earmark to uplift the face of the Polytechnic. These projects require funding and we hope that with the water factory going into full production, it will help shore up the revenue base of the Polytechnic.”

He spoke further, “the Polytechnic water with the brand name, “Drink Am” is set to hit the market in the coming days. Members of the Polytechnic community are therefore enjoin to patronize “Drink Am”. Water is Life and with DRINK AM, a longer and healthy life is guaranteed. Drink Am is currently the best in the whole of Oghara.”

Speaking in the same vein, Mr. Lucas Onorigho, Bursar, Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara commended the Rector for the initiative stressing that public tertiary institutions across Nigeria can no longer depend on government lean and competing resources for survival, adding, “it become expedient to diversify. This is what we have done in the Polytechnic. Therefore, for your customized table water for any ceremony, Think Drink Am… drink Drink Am.”
