Asabiro’s Quarter Gets New Leadership

Asabiro’s Quarter of Ekpan in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State has elected and recently sworn-in newly elected executive members to steer the affairs for the next two (2) years with a charge to be good ambassadors of peace to the community.

The swearing-in ceremony which took place recently at New-Layout Road, Ekpan, Delta State was attended by sons and daughters of Ekpan Community which include members of the elders council, women and youths of the community.

Those sworn-in are Godspower Orokuku (Chairman), Hope Ugbokodo (Vice-Chairman), Kofi Nekachi (Secretary), Lucky Ogiribo (PRO), Jude Edecho (Assistant Secretary), Samson (Auditor), Fredrick Dafe (Treasurer), Francis Ovuomoghere (Adviser 1), Efe Orokuku (Adviser 2).

Others are Elvis Akemu (Task Force Chairman), Moses Johnson (Task Force Vice-Chairman), Elvis Abodo (Ekpan Disciplinary Committee), Christopher Etawhene (Ekpan Disciplinary Committee) and Sose Odiobara (Central Executive).

Speaking at the ceremony, the former Chairman of Asabiro’s Quarter congratulated the newly elected officers and charged the newly sworn-in Executive members to ensure that the unity, love, transparency and peace is maintained so as to take the community to an enviable height.

In his remarks, the newly elected Chairman, Godspower Orokuku said all power and glory belong to God, saying God gives power to those He has called to lead.

The Chairman stated that he will to carry everyone along in discharging his legitimate duties of taking the community to greater heights and promise not to betray the confidence and trust reposed in him.

Also speaking at the event, Hamza Umaru and Comrade Christopher Odamah congratulated the newly sworn-in executives of Asabiro’s Quarter, charging them to be good ambassadors of peace.
