The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has honored the Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council, Hon Emmanuel Egbabor as the best performing Local Government Council Chairman in Delta State for the year 2015 followed by his achievement since assumption of office.

Making the presentation in the Chairman office at Ozoro, the headuarter of Isoko North Council, by the chairman of National Association of Nigeria Students, Joint Campus Committee (NANS/JCC) Delta state Axis, Comrade Ogbe Oghenetega Collins said that “after critical and meticolous assessment of the antecedents of Hon Egbabor especially his outstanding leadership qualities, administrative and managerial competences, his committed effort towards adding value to the life of the good people of Isoko North, his strong commitment for community development and security strategies embarked upon over the year as well as his commitment to the service our dear state with accountability and transparency as his watchword endeared him to members of NANS to honor him as the Best Performing Local Government Chairman of the year in Delta State”.

Comr Ogbe further added that, NANS Delta State were particularly attracted to Hon Emmanuel Egbabor because of his love for students in Delta state, most especially the helping hand he has been extending to the less privileged in the society, his immense contribution to tackling security challenges in Ozoro and its environs, his free eye care programme, proposed establishment of Isoko Radio among others.

In his acceptance speech, the Executive Chairman of INLG, Hon Emmanuel Egbabor, thanked God for the honor as well as NANS for finding him worthy to be so honored, while dedicating the award to the good people of Isoko North Local Government who voted him into power to serve them.

Hear him “I want to assure you and my people that the best is yet to come, as we pray for wisdom, knowledge and for an improvement in the finance of the local government. We will do our best to be prudent in managing what is available to assure that we provide with dividends of democracy as enscapsulated in the prosperity agenda of our Governor His Excellency, Sen Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

“I want to assure NANS that the Local government will partner with them in their quest to curb examination malpractice and to extinguish all forms of campus violence such as cultism and other vices in our tertiary. Institutions”.

Present during the presentation are Special Adviser to the Chairman, Mr John Ubeme, Personal Assistant, Mr Anthony Egodi, Media Assistant to the Chairman, Moses Omovevah, other Council staffs as well as NANS Executive.
