Sports, part of acadamic training – Olagboye

The provincial pastor of Redeemed Christian church of God (RCCG) Bayelsa State, Pastor Olalere Olagboye has stressed the need of pupils and students to imbibe the culture of sports in the development of academic excellence.
The reputable pastor made the assertion during the RCCG International school inter-house sports fiesta which toke place pen-ultimate Friday at the prestigious school complex, along Sani Abacha way which was witnessed by parents, care givers, friends, well wishers and the Christian community was so memorable.
Pastor Olagboye in his remarks thanked the school management, pupils and students for their great performance, stressing that so many talents would be discovered in the great event. Equally highlighting that the school is highly noted for sports and academic prowess nationwide as the school had brought several laurel both in sports and the area of education.
Also speaking at the colorful event, the chairman of the occasion Mr. Micah Numondogio, who was ably represented at the event by his wife Mrs. Patience Micah equally appreciated the school management for their great effort, noted emphatically that sports is health, while tasking the pupils and students of the school to be always dedicated to duties, respect constituted authority, considering their Christian background.
The chairman also appealed to the pupils and students of the institution to be always be very serious in their studies and all their life endeavors, they should avoid bad friends. The school administrator of the redeem international school Yenagoa who is the assistant pastor of the provincial district Mrs. Onyema Gloria I, who was so excited over the performance of pupils and students at the event commended them for their courage, stressing that sports is a veritable tool of education. While appreciating the entire staff of the school, especially, the sports management committee, also, thanking the high power delegation from the sports ministry Yenagoa, friend and well wishers in adding colour at the event. More so, especially the parents teachers associations, above all, thanking God almighty for a peaceful ceremony.
Mrs. Onyema equally revealed that the Redeemed International school is one of the best schools in Bayelsa state, graduates of the school are in top positions in their various higher schools nationwide and in Diaspora, in the past west Africa examination council (WAEC) and the National Examination council (NECO) it was a brilliant performances, teachers are equally the best brains in the state and in the country.
At the end of the competition sports fiesta, the first position goes to Goodness House, while the second position goes to peace House, finally, the third position goes to love House, five houses contested for various sporting events, notably hundred meters, relay, beauty pageants, wrestling among others.
The sports master of the school Mr. Kenneth YinbiriKeye, while fielding questions from newsmen soon after the event thanked the provincial pastor, pastor Olalere Olagboye, the Assistant pastor, pastor (Mrs.) Onyema Gloria. Who equally the school Administrator, more so, appreciates the school school management, all invited guests, friends and parents for the show of love and commitment in making the occasion a great success.
The climax of the event was the presentation of various prizes presented to winners of various category, the event which was the third edition of the school, witnessed the parental running competition as children and wards saw their fathers and mothers competing for prizes which was very hilarious and so joyful.
