Deltans have been called upon to participate actively in the forth coming voters revalidation exercise and the October 25 local government elections in the state.

This call was made by Mr. Benedict Ebede, state chairman, G25 Assembly after an executive council meeting in Asaba, he said that gone were the days when people sit in the comfort of their bedrooms on Election Day only to turn around next day to criticize leaders that emerged from such exercise over non-performance.

Mr. Ebede tasked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) to demonstrate the highest level of patriotism during both exercises so as not to only win the confidence of the electorates, but to also justify the huge tax payers money invested in both bodies.

On the security challenges presently confronting the nation, He called for a sincere synergy between President Good luck Jonathan, leaders of other levels of governments and the citizens to be up and doing instead of the present posture of “bulk passing, blaming game and introduction of ethnic/religion in this most unpatriotic, satanic adventure perpetuated by a selected few who derives pleasure in killing innocent and harmless souls.”

The state chairman of G25 commended the Delta State government over the huge investment in sports which he said has continued to yield result especially the recent exploit of ‘Golden Girl’  Blessing Okagbare in the on-going Commonwealth Games in Glassgow, Scotland.
