The executive Chairman of Ethiope West Local Government Council, Hon. Solomon O. Golley has constituted committee on sand, wedge, dredger, gravel, anti-kidnapping and robbery, road blocks, disability parking and primary schools, palm oil millers, town planning and building committees for some communities in the local government area.

Members of the committee for sand, wedge, dredger and gravel are, Mr. Omamogho Samuel (Chairman) Mr. Raphael Iweta (Vice Chairman), Mr. Michael Kingsley (Secretary), Udubrafore Obakporo (PRO), Mr. Uzor Henry (Member), Mr. Akpe Wilson (Member), Iboyi Charles (Member), Kakitie Godstime (Member), Uzor Sunday (Member), while those for Town Planning and Building Committee are, Uzor Ejenavi (Chairman), Friday Anderson (Vice Chairman), Efe Etaghene (Secretary), Akpomiemie Ochuko (P.R.O.), Godstime Atiwor (Member), Michael Erhijivwe (Member), Akpevwe Eghwarekuko (Member), as those for Palm Oil Millers are, Agidi John (Chairman), Okuma Atiwor (Vice Chairman), Abraka Abido (Secretary), Efe Organ (Member), Omokoh Wisdom (member) Kennedy Eruotor (Member), Emakune Eddy (Member) and Godday Gift (Member).

Those in charge of road block, disability parking and primary schools are Simon Odiete (Chairman), Adegor Akpobome (P.R.O), Sunday Okudia (Member), Daniel Erhijevwe (Member), Vincent Ateruo (Member), Solomon Ezebue (Member), Oghenevwede Amaja (Member), Anderson Monday (Member), while those for Anti-Kidnapping and Robbery include Godday Abobo (Chairman), Eric Ovedje (Vice Chairman) Murphy Erubasa (Secretary), Fiofio Oke (P.R.O), Christian Ikemba (Member), Uvie Ikpeni (Member), Takpor Akpore (Member), Onome Macaulay (Member), Joel Awusa (Member), Emakuneyi Samuel (Member), Kingsley Omokar (Member) and Omonode Wisdom (Member).

According to the Chairman of the Council Hon. Solomon O. Golley, who signed the appointment letters to each of the persons listed above, said the committee chairmen and secretaries for Anti-Kidnapping and Robbery should report to the office of the Executive Chairman, Ethiope West Local Government Council for briefing on the mode of their operation, including those for sand, wedge, dredger and gravel, while others are advised to report to the appropriate quarters within the council as stated in their appointment letters.

The Chairman Hon. Golley, added that the appointment of all the persons mentioned, is with immediate effect, while the letters of appointment for those on Anti-Kidnapping and Robbery, Road Block, Disability Parking and Primary Schools have been copied to all the security agencies in the area.

The Chairman of the various committees, Mr. Samuel Omamogho, Mr. Godday Abobo and others who responded on behalf of others for the appointment, applauded the Chairman for the gesture, promising that they are ready to serve their people effectively and will never betray the confidence reposed on them, so that their community would be glad that trusted persons have been appointed to represent them.
