365 Days: Former Okpe Council Boss, Esiovwa Urges Deltans To Sustain Their Support For Oborevwori
As Delta State marks Governor Oborevwori’s first year in office, the immediate past chairman of Okpe Local Area Area, Hon. Isaiah Onoriode Esiovwa has urged Deltans to rally behind the Governor and support his vision for the state’s progress.
In an interview, with our Crew of DENNIS OTU and DANIEL BAYAGBON, Hon. Isaiah Onoriode Esiovwa, praised the Governor for his impactful initiatives and dedication to improving Delta State.
Hon. Esiovwa acknowledged Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to infrastructure development, highlighting the significant road projects undertaken across the state.
He commended the Governor for entrusting renowned construction giant, Julius Berger with the flyover Bridges in Warri and it’s twin sister, Effurun,emphasizing the quality of work being delivered under their supervision.
The former Chairman also lauded Governor Oborevwori’s hands-on approach, noting his frequent inspections of projects to ensure the use of high-quality materials in the projects.
The former Okpe Council Boss pointed out the establishment of the new Campus of the University of Science and Technology, Ozoro in Orerokpe, Headquarters of Okpe Local Government Area which, according to him is set to bring valuable educational opportunities to the community and open the area for massive development.
He rained praises on the Governor for the ongoing construction efforts at the campus, stressing the positive impact it would have on the area and environs.
He emphasized the importance of cooperation and hard work from all government officials and stakeholders to ensure the success of Governor Oborevwori’s administration.
He noted that in addition to the major bridge projects being carried out by Julius Berger Plc in Warri and Effurun, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration in Delta State has overseen several ongoing projects simultaneously.
He said, “These projects including those he initiated and inherited from the previous administration, showcasing a commitment to infrastructure development and progress across the state. Noteworthy accomplishments within the first year of Governor Oborevwori’s tenure include the near completion of the Orere bridge in Ughelli South Local Government Area, the completion of the state of the art High Court project in Asaba and several significant road constructions across the state,
such as the Adagbrassa – Ugolo and Emevor – Orogun roads, with the Adagbrasa-Ugolo bypass 90% completed.
“Furthermore, the successful completion of the by-pass from Okan/Oha junction to the East-West road stands as a testament to the administration’s efforts to enhance transportation efficiency and alleviate traffic congestion in key areas like the PTI junction.”
The former Okpe Local Government Chairman, expressed confidence in Governor Oborevwori’s administration, citing the completion of various projects within a short timeframe as evidence of the government’s dedication to improving the lives of Deltans.
Noting the completion of the Ohorhe/Adagbrasa/Ugolo/Okuodiete bypass and other infrastructure developments, Hon. Esiovwa expressed optimism for the future of Delta State under the watch of Governor Oborevwori
He expressed trust in the administration’s commitment to further advancements that would benefit the residents of Delta State, urging continued support and cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure sustained progress and development in the state.
