While emphasizing the necessity for the appeal, Chief Okwagbe who noted that the absence of peace has denied the Community of so many good opportunities, said peace is a veritable tool needed by all stake holders if the community must develop.

He frowned at the idea of “peace today trouble tomorrow” as he reaffirmed his confidence on the ability of the Okowa led administration to bring lasting  peace at the end of the imbroglio .

Lambasting individuals who benefit from community crisis, the Peace Ambassador maintained that the long arm of the law will soon catch up with miscreants whose days, according to him, are numbered .

Speaking further, Chief Okwagbe observed that all aggrieved critical stakeholders must understand the need for a round table discussion where everyone can place his/her card on the table for further subjection to logic and reasoning for the common good of all.

Chief Okwagbe particularly thanked His Royal Majesty Emmanuel Sideso (Abe 1), the Ovie of Uvwie kingdom for is role in ensuring that the peace exists in the community.

He fervently prayed for the success of the monarch in all his endeavors, wishing him a fruitful reign on the throne.

Chief Okwagbe expressed worries that if care is not taken the people living in the community will gradually go into extinction.

He argued further that a protracted crisis in Ekpan community will definitely throw the people back to the time of “Thomas Hobbes” a society where anarchy ruled supreme if the government does not intervene.
