The Ukodo Nation Forum has officially inaugurated its movement tagged “Assurance 2027” with a strong commitment to work for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori in 2027.
The event, held at Oil City Motel, Ughelli/Warri Road, Ughelli, attracted prominent political leaders, party faithful, and community stakeholders from across Delta State.
In his keynote speech, Administrator of the Ukodo Nation Forum, Olorogun (Amb.) Emmanuel E. Foburh, declared that there would be “no vacancy” in Government House, Asaba, come 2027.
He stressed that the movement was not just a gathering but a pressure group aimed at mobilizing and consolidating grassroots support across the 25 local government areas and three senatorial districts of Delta State.
“Our next Governor is our amiable Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, who will remain in office till 2031 by the grace of God,” he said, adding that the group was equally committed to ensuring President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
Chief Morrison Olori, Convener of the forum in his goodwill message, praised Oborevwori’s inclusive leadership and infrastructural strides, particularly through projects handled by Julius Berger.
He emphasized that the governor had carried all Deltans along as “a father figure.” He warned that anyone working against the governor would face stiff resistance, saying: “It is the governor who have the directive that we should join the opposition, so Ukodo Nation will file behind him.
“We are standing firmly for President Tinibu and Governor Oborevwori. Come 2027 nobody in Delta or Nigeria will take the place of Tinibu or Oborevwori. The duo are already there come 2027. The movement is ready to get one hundred percent votes for President Bola Tinibu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori,” Olori added on the sidelines.
Representative of the Delta State Government, Rt. Hon. Ovie Agas, in his goodwill message, commended the initiative and assured the forum of his total support.
“We will re-elect Tinubu and Sheriff come 2027. We don’t want anybody to be displaced. We want peace in this state,” Agas said, pledging to relay the forum’s resolutions to the governor.
Other leaders, including Chief Sylvester Kohwo, High Chief Terry Noah, Prof. Obodje, Dr. Rufus Edoja, Olorogun Philip Iyagumare, and Barr. Fred Majemite (represented), all threw their weight behind the movement.
They described the Ukodo Nation Forum as a unifying pressure group that would play a key role in delivering electoral victory for both President Bola Tinibu and Government Sheriff Oborevwori.
Prof. Ibodje, in a figurative remark, urged members not to take the movement for granted. “If you want to kill a lizard, kill it properly or it will bite you,” he cautioned, stressing that unity and commitment were vital.
The APC Woman Leader for Delta Central also pledged the full support of women in the party, assuring Chief Morrison and the forum that they would stand firmly behind the movement.
The event ended with renewed enthusiasm as leaders and stakeholders vowed to spread the Assurance 2027 message across all wards in Delta State.
