Dickson tasks PDP faithful on solidarity to party

Jesse Ese, Yenagoa

Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State, has called on all those who are faithful to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to be vigorous in their support for the party.

The Governor made this remark while interacting with members of the party at the Bayelsa State PDP Secretariat building in Yenagoa recently.

Gov. Dickson further refuted claims by some aggrieved members of the party who claims to be the New PDP both in the state and national levels; adding that the party is one.

While expressing gratitude to the judiciary for the manner in which it handled the issue, he said; “you don’t have a party and form a new party under an existing one.”

The Governor also stressed that the interactive session which is being held with the PDP members every month would take a new dimension with other national members of the party gracing the state.

He commended the state for the support given to the party and urged them to ignore all those working against the progress of the state through rumours; adding that this is not the right time to promote discord in the party.

Earlier in his address, the State Chairman of the PDP, Col. (Dr.) Sam Inokoba, lauded the party members for their proper conduct during the PDP National Convention.

He also thanked the Governor for putting Bayelsa in the comity of nations; adding that it is not easy to be recognized by the Lincoln University.

In his remark concerning the horrendous deeds of Kpodoh Richard; Dr. Sam stated that he has been buried even at the national level. He also extolled the executives of the party for using their personal funds to project the image of the party via the media.
