Delta PPA Adopts Okowa for April 11 Guber Election

The Progressive Peoples Party (PPA) in Delta State has adopted the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, as its candidate for the April 11 governorship election in the state.
Speaking with THE UNION in Asaba, Delta State capital, leader of the party in Delta, Hon. Taju Isichei, said the party arrived at the decision after carefully observing the antecedent of Okowa and studying his track records over the years.
He said the party had considered his achievements and the belief that, among the three contenders, he is the only one that has a Pan Delta vision for the overall development of the state.
To this end, he called on all members of the party and all Deltans to throw their weight behind the PDP candidate so as to deliver the party and especially Okowa in the Saturday elections.
Isichei, who is the Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Inter-Party Relations, explained that irrespective of the existence of other parties in the state, Okowa is the candidate to beat in the election as he stands shoulder high above others in the race.
