Delta Muslim Leaders Drum Support For Emerhor

Muslims in Delta State have thrown their weight behind the Delta State All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor in the February 28 election.
The Muslim leaders made this decision recently in Warri during a prayer session held in support of Olorogon Emerhor, organized by Muslim leaders, Amir of Islamic organization and Imam of all Mosque within Delta State.
Converner of the prayer session, Alhaji Sadiq Musa while addressing the Muslim leaders said for the past 16 years Muslims in the state have not gained any meaningful thing from the administration of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Musa reminded the Muslims leaders that their population make up to 5-6 Local Government within Delta State, adding that they should be prepared to give their support to a candidate that will identify with Muslims in the state.
In his speech, the Chief Imam NPA Central mosque said that the PDP has failed Nigerians and the Muslims. He said there should be freedom of worship irrespective of religion, warning those who collect money to sell their conscience to have a rethink and vote for the right person.
Chief Imam of Jeddo Mosque, Alhaji Abubakar Naibi said his people were denied their right to vote during the last election because they discovered that they were supporting APC.
Other leaders who spoke at the occasion all narrated their bad experiences they faced in the hands of PDP just they all vowed to work for the APC gubernatorial candidate.

Muslims who want to support Olorogun Emerhor.

Alhaji Garuba Mikassa, Delta North coordinator and Alhaji Hassan U. Isa Deputy, Delta North coordinator.
