Felix Jeremia, Bayelsa

Bayelsa State Commissioner for Power, Chief Jim-Ogbolo Edward sought the face of God as he stormed the First Baptist Church Ovom, Yenagoa for thanksgiving in a grand style.

Chief Edward in the company of members of his family, friends and well wishers went to church, primarily to thank God for his appointment.

He said the day the former commissioner for power, Barrister Ikio handed over the ministry to him he knew that his appointment was the divine plan of God.

He thanked the governor for finding him worthy of the appointment, using the occasion to hand over the power situation in the state which is an extension of the endemic power situation in the nation, into God’s hand for divine solution.

Secretary to Bayelsa State government Prof. Edward Oguru who also spoke at the occasion, implored him to use his wealth of experience, having been a key player in the power industry in the past to bear on the job.

The officiating Pastor Oyewumi Oladapo charged the congregation to take a cue from Chief Edward and always give thanks to God in whatever they were doing.

The Bayelsa State Classic choir, led by its patron, Hon. Robert Enogha did a special rendition at the reception which took place at his residence to spice the occasion.
