Ogor donates Vehicles to Isoko Vigilante Groups

The Minority Leader of Federal House of Representatives and member representing Isoko federal Constituency, Rt Hon Leo Ogor yesterday released twelve Toyata Hilux vans to the various vigilante groups in Isoko clans to help combat the menace of crime in their areas.
Hon Ogor while presenting the vehicles to the various President Generals and Vigilantes Groups chairmen said, he was pricked when he saw the pains that the vigilantes are going through in combating crimes, most especially on the area of movement.
In his words “I felt the pains of the vigilantes groups when I saw that, they are so restricted in their movement from one point to the other in combating crime because of the lack of vehicles and knowing fully well that this is extremely important. So we have to use the instrumentality of government to assist them, so that they can be able to arrest this unacceptable level of kidnapping, robbery, and a host of criminal issues.
“I believe that is the essence of this gesture today. It is something that is going to be a continuous process, we will keep reviewing it on a continuous basis and make sure that the people who lives in these communities are safe.
“We will provide a motorola communication gadgets that will be accessible to everyone to them and that will cover almost about 60 kilometers radius, so that they can communicate with the police and their neighbouring vigilante groups. Which means every vigilante groups in Isoko axis will be able to communicate with each other and also with the police too. It will be under the supervision of the police”. It is going to change the level of security in Isoko nation to a very appreciable level”.
Hon Leo further advised, the members of the vigilante groups to make proper use of the vehicles in combating crime and also take proper care of the vehicles, so that his aims of releasing the vehicles will be achieve.
While commissioning the vehicles, the President General of Isoko Development Union, High Chief Idu Amadhe commended Hon Leo Ogor for his kind gestures of providing security vehicles to the various vigilante groups in Isoko nation.
“I am advising the various President General of the benefiting communities to take proper care of these vehicles so that it will motivate Hon Leo Ogor to do more. They should always fuel them, and to the vigilante groups. I advised them not to misused these vehicles anyhow, so that Hon Leo Ogor aims of releasing these vehicle will be achieve”, Chief Idu Amadhe.
Responding on behalf of the President Generals, Patrick Omaduvie of Otor-Owhe clan thanked Hon Leo Ogor for his kind gesture and care for his people, promising to make proper use of the vehicles and praying God to uplift and bless him (Leo Ogor) more in all his endeavors.
Also speaking the on behalf of the vigilante groups, the Public Realtion Officer of Aviara Vigilante Group, Comr Othuke Ogu, commended Hon Leo Ogor for his kind gesture and promise to make proper use of the vehicles given to them.
Also responding, the chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council, Hon Emmanuel Egbabor, and the Nigeria Police Officer Ozoro Divisional Headquarter, Paul Ibegbu. They both commended Hon Leo Ogor for his kind gesture, saying that “this will prompt the vigilante groups in fighting the menace of crimes in Isoko nation”.
