By Francis Sadhere, Warri
The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege during the weekend said the All Progressives Congress (APC) will take over power from the ruling People’s Democratic Part (PDP) come 2023.
Omo-Agege said this in Warri during the grand opening of the Office of the Senior Legislative Aide to the Deputy President of the Senate on Non Indigene Affairs.
He appealed to all APC members in Delta Central Senatorial District to work tirelessly for the party and ensure that all their candidates in the March 6 Local Government election win their elections.
He urged all APC members in the State to protect their votes in the upcoming council election, adding that they were ready to match PDP strength for strength.
“Even though we know that they will try to rig the elections because Delta state is a PDP state, we are going to ensure that we do all that we can to defend our votes.
“If they win us on election ground we will accept it. But if they try to write the results somewhere else, we will not accept it,” Omo-Agege said.
He appealed to all members of the party to register in the ongoing social investment programme which supports members of the party to open any business of their choice.
In his opening speech, the Senior Legislative Aide to the Deputy President of the Senate on Non Indigene Affairs, Athan Iwuchukwu, appeal to all Deltans and the non Indigenes in the State to work with the Deputy President of the Senate in his quest to make the State better.
He said Omo-Agege has done a lot for the state since he assumed office promising the cooperation of the non Indigenes in the state.
He appealed to the Deputy President of the Senate to incorporate them in the Federal Government’s empowerment schemes.
