AUGS SET TO EQUIP STUDENTS WITH COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE

The Director General and the Chief Executive Officer of Africa United Grammar School, Owhelogbo had today told Owhelogbo flash that the school is poised with the task of improving the students’ lives in all round development including Computer Training to meet the challenge of the 21st century.
Chief Moses Atanometa Africa explained that, the school has since inception produced prominent persons in the society as there are qualified graduates who are well grounded in the field of teaching working as teachers and instructors in the school; adding that; effective teaching and learning is the hallmark of the school.
He said: “We have long planned to purchase computer sets to engage the students in practical and here we’ve purchased five HP Computers for a start, as soon as they are installed in the computer lab, training will commence in earnest. It is in line with the demand of this computer age, we deemed it fit to acquire them so that our students will not lack behind in acquiring the skill of computers. There are competent teachers who have been teaching them theory but the need for practical work is very expedient. There are mechanisms in place to have a stand-by electricity generating plant to provide uninterrupted power supply. In due course, we shall acquire more”.
On his part, the sole administrator of the school, Mr. Godstime Atanometa expressed confidence in the performance of both students and teachers in the school but however called on parents to pay their students school fees early enough to enable them meet up with their demands in the area of quality education.
Godstime further disclosed that admission into JSS 1 – JSS 3 and SSS 1 to SSS 3 will be open from September to mark the beginning of the 2015/2016 academic session; emphasizing that, the school fees is moderate and affordable just as the academic and administrative management of the school (Africa United Grammar School, Owhelogbo) is equal to the task of inculcating into the students the right type of value in both cognitive and psychomotor domain.
