…Receives PDP Decampees Amid Jubilations

Ahead of 2027 general elections,the leadership of All Progressives Party (APC), Okpara Ward 4 in Ethiope East Local Government Area said all preparations are in top gear to take over Delta State.
This was made known when the leadership of APC Okpara Ward 4 received hundreds of Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) decampees into their fold at Okpara Inland in Ethiope East Local Government of the state.
Speaking at the occasion, Archbishop Philip Orovwuje, Chairman of Elders/ Leaders’ of APC Ward 4 in Okpara, said that the APC would take over the state come 2027 general elections especially now that the likes of Rt. Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu and her members among who is Chief Andrew Majemite, a former staunch member of PDP have joined APC.
According to him, Chief Majemite who is the National Chairman, Ibori-Suenu Grassroot Network(ISGN) was a strong member of PDP, adding that with his presence in APC, Ward 4 in Okpara would deliver the party in this direction.
While welcoming those who decamped from the PDP to the APC’ fold, Dr. Orovwuje assured them of equal treatment with other members of the party, adding, “here in Ethiope East, we will deliver the APC 100% neat. And there will not be difference between those who came in now and those of us who have been in the party since, we shall all reap the dividends of democracy together equally”.
While expressing gratitude to those who have contributed in one way or the other especially financially which has made the programme successful, he sued for more unity among members to make party more formidable in the state.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Julius Ogboru, Chairman, APC, Ethiope East Local Government Area, said that the party has become more formidable with those who decamped from the PDP adding that, with that, victory of the APC is sure at all levels come 2027 general elections.
Chief Ogboru expressed gratitude to Rt. Hon. Ibori-Suenu and her political associates to have joined hands with them to take over the state come 2027, he also thanked Chief Andrew Majemite to have considered it worthwhile to work with Rt Hon. Ibori-Suenu which has made it possible to bring other members to the fold, saying, together, they would work to actualize victory of the APC
On his part, Hon. Anidi Innocent , former Member of the Delta State House of Assembly who represented Ethiope East commended those who decamped from the PDP, he charged them to work harmoniously with those already on ground to ensure the victory of President Bola Tinubu at the Federal level, Senator Ovie Omo Agege as Governor at the State level, Rt Hon. Ibori-Suenu at the Federal House of representatives and other others in 2027 general elections.
Responding, Chief Andrew Majemite, National Chairman, Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu Grassroot Network (ISGN)said that the APC is capable of taking over the State at all levels come 2027 elections.
According to him, with the calibre of his principal, Rt. Hon. Ibori-Suenu and other members of the party at the Ethiope Federal Constituency, victory is sure.
While thanking the group for a rousing welcome given to them into the APC, he said his principal is ready to bring the dividends of democracy to the people and sued for co-operation for the realization of the party’s goals in this regard.
In an interview, the Chairman of Ibori-Suenu Grassroot Network(ISGN) in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Comr. Julius Omajuwa said, the network has over 100,000 members that cuts across all the parties, adding that now “we have decided to move with our Principal, Rt Hon. Ibori-Suenu to the APC, the structure of PDP has collapsed in Ethiope Federal Constituency.”
According to Comr. Omajuwa, “APC will take over Delta State come 2027 general elections. It will not be business as usual. Since all of us have moved with our principal to the APC, the structure of PDP has gone comatose, now collapsed in Ethiope Federal Constituency. “
High point of the ceremony was the formal reception of those who decamped from PDP to APC by Chief Julius Ogboru, Chairman of the party at the Local Government Area and Archbishop Philip Orovwuje, Chairman Elders/Leaders of the APC who were flanked by other leaders and members of the party amid jubilations.
