Service of songs holds for Late Oribioye, wife in Warri

The service of songs for late Pa William Oribioye and his wife, late Mama Evelyn Oribioye, parents of the Secretary to the Warri South Local Government, Mr Joseph Oribioye, was today held at St. Paul Catholic Church, Ekurede Itsekiri in Warri South council area of Delta.

The event was attended by family members, staffers of Warri South Local Government Area and dignitaries from within and outside the Council.

In his homely, Rev (Dr) Benedict Ikutegbe, said the essence of living was to affect lives positively.

Ikutegbe said late Oribioye and his wife were committed to the service of God and had won the hearts of many.

He said the late couple have lived a fulfilled life, calling on the children to follow in the footsteps of their parents.

He noted that being a Christian was not an easy task and called on the children to strive to please God in all that they do.

“Losing a father is not easy. But losing both parents is double tragedy. We pray that God will fill the vacuum that is being left by the demise of your parents,” father Ikutegbe said.

Mr Joseph Oribioye, appreciated all those who found time to attend the service of songs for their father and mother.

Mama Evelyn Oribioye (Nee Mene) died on the 10th of September, 2021 while Pa William Oribioye died on the 15th September. 2021
