Kidnapped Delta Monarch Regains Freedom

The abducted traditional ruler, Odiologbo, of Olomoro Kingdom, Delta state, HRM Josiah Umukoro Agbaza II, who was kidnapped last week by yet to be identified gunmen, has regained freedom.
The abductors had demanded a ransom of N50 million as a condition for the monarch’s release but it could not be confirmed if a ransom was paid before the Royal Father regained his freedom.
The traditional ruler, who was kidnapped last week at his Olomoro’s office at about 7:30am and taken to unknown destination, was freed Monday night by his Captors
Residents of the community told our correspondent that his return threw the entire Kingdom into wide jubilation.
It was learnt that it took the spirited efforts of the chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, Sir Ithiako Constantine Ikpokpo and other well-meaning individuals within and outside the Local Government Council to secure the release of the Royal Father.
