PTI Commended For Producing High-Calibre Graduates

…As Eight Secure Permanent Employment

Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, Delta State, has been commended for producing graduates with technical competence, professionalism and character required to excel in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry and beyond.

The commendation came from Port Harcourt-based Mgvowgas Nigeria Limited following the outstanding performance of eight PTI graduates engaged under the company’s Graduate Training Programme in 2024.

In a letter dated May 19, 2026, and signed by the company’s Human Resources Manager, Tila Best on behalf of the management, Mgvowgas described the graduates as exceptional professionals whose performance exceeded expectations during their one-year training programme.

According to the letter, a copy of which was made available to journalists in Warri, the trainees distinguished themselves through their technical expertise, intellectual capacity, resilience, discipline, integrity, adaptability and exemplary professional conduct.

The company stated that the graduates consistently demonstrated qualities that reflected the high standard of education and practical training they received at PTI.

According to the letter, “throughout their time with us, these graduates consistently demonstrated not only strong technical knowledge and intellectual capacity but also resilience, professionalism, integrity, discipline, adaptability and admirable character”.

Mgvowgas further noted that PTI has continued to distinguish itself by producing well-rounded professionals equipped with the competence, mindset and ethical values required to thrive in today’s highly competitive work environment.

The company described the trainees’ contributions as a meaningful investment in Nigeria’s future workforce, adding that their impact extended beyond supporting the organisation’s operations.

The letter added, “we sincerely appreciate the institution’s commitment to excellence and capacity development, and we look forward to sustaining and strengthening this valuable relationship in the years ahead”.

In recognition of their exceptional performance, all eight trainees have been offered permanent employment by Mgvowgas Nigeria Limited after successfully completing the one-year programme.

The company added, “after a successful one-year programme with our organisation, we are pleased to inform you that these individuals have now been confirmed as full-time staff based on their outstanding conduct, competence and overall contributions during the training period”.

The beneficiaries are Jeghwo David Oghenebrohien, Enubuzor Chinedu John, Ochei Johnson Onyedikachi, Ugochukwu Makua Divine, Ibibo Kombo Bernard, Edokpolor Osa-Osenimwen Moses, Ikechukwu Faith Adaugo and Harry Faith Sokiepirim.

The company also expressed appreciation to the management and staff of PTI for their unwavering commitment to quality education and manpower development, noting that the institution’s graduates are making significant contributions to the growth of the organisation and the advancement of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
