Chat Way Forward With Isoko Traditional Rulers- Ikpokpo Tells Youth

Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Malik Ikpokpo has called on Isoko Youths liaise with Isoko Traditional Rulers and chat a way forward for the development of Isoko land rather than creating problems.
Hon. Ikpokpo made this call during a meeting with Isoko Traditional Rulers, Head of Isoko Clegymen, Isoko Development Union, Isoko North and South Local Government Chairmen, Heads of Corporate Bodies, and Isoko Youths at the palace of Ovie of Ozoro.
He said youth movement should not be about money but about development of minds, noting that, ”Comr Victor Egbo led administration of Isoko Youth National Assembly has expired”.
Hon. Ikpokpo advised the Isoko Development Union, (IDU) to constitute an electoral panel to conduct an election for the youths, adding that, ”IDU should reduce the age grade for the participation of youths activities to be between 20-40 years.
He also adviced IDU not to withdraw the case of those arrested suspect in connection with IDU secretariat bombing case from court noting that, “their interrogation will serve as a warning to others”
On his part, the convener of the meeting, HRM. Barr. Anthony Uvietobore Ogbogbo, Ibuka 1, the Ovie of Ozoro. Sued for unity among Isoko youths for the development of the land.
Meanwhile the President General of IDU, High Chief Iduh Amadhe, had earlier enumerated some of the crisis among the various Isoko youth groups which he met on ground as he resumed office as President General of the Umbrella body of Isoko.
He also listed some of the criteria IDU prepared towards the election of IYNA executive, to be include a University/HND graduates for some vital positions and a living school certificate for relevant other positions.
