The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, has congratulated a former chairman of the chapel, Okakuro Victor Okies Okpomor, on his conferment with a chieftaincy title in Oghara Kingdom, Delta State.

The chapel, in a congratulatory message signed by its Chairman, Okakuro Akpokona Omafuaire, and Secretary, Edeki Igafe, described the traditional honour as a well-deserved recognition of Okpomor’s leadership qualities, integrity and contributions to the progress and unity of his community.

The journalists’ body said Okpomor’s years of commitment to community development, coupled with his community-driven initiatives, had earned him the prestigious traditional recognition.

According to the chapel, the media professional has consistently demonstrated exemplary character, making him a source of pride and a role model, particularly to younger members of society.

The chapel expressed confidence that the wisdom and leadership experience of its former chairman would be brought to bear in his new traditional role, particularly in promoting peace, development and prosperity in Oghara Kingdom.

While joining Okpomor’s friends, colleagues and well-wishers across the world to celebrate the milestone, the Warri Correspondents’ Chapel prayed God to grant him sound health, wisdom and divine protection as he takes on his new responsibilities.

The chapel also prayed that the chieftaincy title would usher in greater development, joy and blessings to Okpomor’s family and the Oghara community.

It further described the new traditional responsibility as a stepping stone to greater achievements and wider recognition, while wishing the new chief wisdom, strength and abundant blessings in his service to the kingdom.

The chapel, once again, congratulated Okpomor on the honour and wished him a successful tenure in his new traditional office.
