Warri South Council Boss Promises workers better days ahead

Newly sworn in chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Michael Tidi today promised council workers in the council area better days ahead, appealing for co-operation from the workers to move the council forward
Hon. Tidi who made this promise at the Warri South Council Secretariat shortly after he resumed duties as early as 8am Monday, expressed readiness to work with all the staff in the council areas just as he and stressed that he was looking forward to seeing the “Warri of our dream.”
Hon. Tidi who had earlier received handover note from the Warri South Council Head of Personnel Management, Mrs. Remi Omatsuli, commended her for a job well done.
To kick-start his first duty in the council area, the new Warri South council Boss immediately administered oath of office to his Vice, Mrs. Divine Ann Iniovosa, saying that he did not make a mistake for choosing Mrs. Oniovosa as his running mate.
He said before choosing Mrs. Oniovosa as his running mate he had consulted widely and that he was convinced that together they will move the council area to enviable height.
Before coming to the conclusion of who my running mate was going to be I have to consult widely so that I will not choose someone that I cannot work with. I am very happy that I choosed Mrs. Divine Oniovosa as my running mate because I know that together we are going to move this council area forward, Hon. Tidi noted.
Hon. Tidi who also spoke to journalist after a brief ceremony at the council secretariat, noted that he was ready to hit the ground running in his bid to fulfill his campaign promises to the people of the area.
I am ready to hit the ground running. I want to plead for the co-operation of the council staff so that we can take this council area to greater height. We are ready to fulfill our campaign promises to our people and with the support of everybody here, I am sure we are not going to disappoint the people, Hon. Tidi said.
Earlier, the Head of Personnel Management, Warri South Council Area, Mrs. Remi Omatsuli told journalists that the handing over the reins of power to Hon. Tidi was an honour and prayed God to give him the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the council in a peaceful atmosphere.
Mrs. Omatsuli alongside Treasurer of the Council area, Mr. Otighi Sunday, later conducted Hon. Tidi and his vice, Hon. Divine Iniovosa round offices in both thel Main and Sub Secretariats of the council.
