Warri North PDP chairman donates books to primary school pupils
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Warri North local government Area, Delta State, Hon (Dr) Isaac Wilkie PDP has donated free notebooks to public primary schools in the council area as part of his contribution to education in Council area.
Presenting the note books to the Education Secretary, Comrade Emmanuel Ogbaro who received them in behalf of the pupils at Ojomba Primary school, Koko where it was flagged off, Hon Wilkie said it is a privilege to donate to the primary schools in the area.
He charged the pupils to make judicious use of the notebooks and be committed to their studies.
Hon Wilkie noted that Governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has done so much in the education sector, adding that “as an individual this gesture is my own support to grow education in this area as government alone cannot do it all”.
Receiving the books, the Education secretary in the area Comrade Emmanuel Ogbaro commended Hon (Dr) Wilkie for his kind gesture, describing him as a chairman with a difference.
He promised to give out the notebooks to pupils in various schools in the local government, calling on well meaning Nigerians to emulate the PDP chairman and contribute their quota to the educational development of the children in Warri North and the nation in general.
