Urhobo Progress Union worldwide felicitates with HRM Emmanuel E. Sideso Abe 1, Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom as he celebrates 18 years on the throne.

National Publicity Secretary of the body made available to Journalists in Warri, the apex socio-cultural organization of Urhobo nation led by Chief Barr. Ese Gam Owe expressed joy that the Monarch celebrates yet another milestone year on the throne of his fore-bearers.
The UPU said that the coronation of HRM Sideso eighteen years ago, was a momentous and solemn event which was conducted
with deep reverence to the sacred customs, rites, and traditions of Uvwie people.
The UPU said, on that day, the kingdom entrusted its sacred authority, unity, and future into the hands of a monarch chosen by tradition and destiny, a leader distinguished by wisdom, courage, prudence, and sagacity.
According to UPU, “HRM Sideso was meticulously groomed from early life in the values of service, discipline, and cultural consciousness. The formative experiences instilled in him since he was born into a revered Royal lineage, has given him a sense of duty to his people, a deep appreciation for tradition, and an enduring commitment to the wellbeing of his kingdom.
“Since ascending the throne, His Majesty’s reign has been marked by visionary leadership, moral authority, and an unwavering commitment to peace, development, and unity.
“He has successfully balanced the preservation of Urhobo cultural heritage with bold support for initiatives that promote educational opportunities, sustainable development, youths’ empowerment, and community cohesion”
The Monarch’s leadership philosophy is rooted in wisdom, humility, and foresight which has strengthened the traditional institution and earned him profound respect locally, regionally, and nationally.”
The UPU said, under Monarch’s reign, “Uvwie Kingdom has experienced sustained peace and civic collaboration as it has become a beacon of cultural pride, harmonious coexistence, and progressive advancement.
“His sagacity in governance has enhanced the traditional institution’s relevance in modern society and has inspired generations of Urhobo sons and daughters to strive for excellence and unity.”
UPU said, the Royal Father also serves with distinction in broader traditional leadership roles, including as Chairman of the Association of Urhobo Traditional Rulers (Ukoko R’ Ivie), where his counsel and commitment have fortified unity among Urhobo kingdoms and fostered inter‑communal cooperation.
