Two Sisters At War Over Delta Central Senatorial Re-run

By Our Correspondent

Two sisters are now at war over the Delta Central Senatorial District Re-run election billed for April 25, 2015.

Our investigation revealed that the two sisters (names withheld), born of the same parents, and have been living together are now being torn apart as a result of the Delta Central Senatorial election. The two sisters are from Delta Central Senatorial District.

But trouble, according to our source, started when an argument ensued between them on who was contesting for the position in the District.

The source said: “The Two sisters were arguing that those contesting for the Senate position in the District were Hon. Evelyn Oboro of PDP and Ovie Omo-Agege of LP. The youngest sister said the battle was between Chief Ighoyota Amori and Chief Ovie Omo-Agege, but the eldest sister who was less educated than her younger sister said the contest was between Omo-Agege and Amori saying that Evelyn Oboro was already being called honourable.”

The younger sister tried to correct her older sister that Hon. Oboro is a member of the House of Representatives and not a Senator and that people will laugh at her if she goes to town with such story

“The eldest sister was infuriated and gave the younger sister a dirty slap and a free for all started. Their mother was unable to take it, and she moved out of the house that night while the children fought themselves,” our source said.

It was later explained to them that the battle for the soul of Delta Central Senatorial District was between Chief Ovie Omo-Agege of the Labour Party, (LP) and Chief Ighoyota Amori of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The source stated that their mother only turned up at home the next day, picked few of her things and went out again.

The Delta Central Senatorial District election was declared inconclusive by INEC and slated for a re-run on Saturday, April 25, 2015
