The Erhi of Okpe Kingdom remarked that he finds solace in the Rotary Club, pointing out that “I have performed effectively in the Rotary Club, I do not need to be an honourary member only, so I have to be a strong Rotarian per excellence not just Honourary member.”
He pledged that he must live and satisfy all the conditions that existed in the rotary club and being a Rotarian is that you must meet the Paul Harris peace requirement of paying all its initial contributions of $1,000, noting that with the permission of his wife, he is accepting to be a Paul Harris fellow while commending all other members for the great Honour done to him.
Chief Obule who addressed journalists after the ceremony said he was particularly happy and grateful for the honour which he admitted was quite remarkable, assuring that it will spur him to do more to the society because doing good is already a part of his life.
He said further that at the age of 50, he who has not made it should resigned himself to fate and never struggle and work too hard but accept whatever he has achieved so far by fate and move on with it and be contended with that position in life.
Chief Obule who made an allusion to President Buhari who became a president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria after 70 years and above, said from this age, do not work too hard because any person after these age bracket do not have the strength to do so.
He said if people must find themselves in any position, they must let it be from God, which Buhari got his own from and there is no order way he could have been the President of Nigeria.
The Business Mogul, who has chains of businesses worldwide, appealed to Nigerians, people of good conscience to keep doing good to the less privilege ones in the society, especially all Rotarians across the globe, that they should not be tired of doing good, because they will definitely reap the reward from God, who created every human being.
