According to the Claimants, Chief Super Gere and Mr. Ezekiel, the dispute arose when the land belonging to the Djogb Rugba Family of Eyara Town in Ughelli South LGA was sold by persons claiming to be owners of their long time family inheritance.
Evang. Jonathan Okorodudu, family member of the Plaintiff added that even while the case is in court, several plots of the said land was still being sold, one of which was sold to the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom.
He explained that the land in question is one that the present children, their fathers and fore-fathers had farmed on for over a century, noting that it was baffling, the alleged claims of the defendants as owners of the land, even though some of them allegedly were not from the Community.
