OEF Visits, Commiserate With Victims Of Fire Explosion In Oghareki.

Oghara Elite Forum (OEF), foremost socio-political group in Oghara Kingdom has visited and commiserated with families of the recent in the fire explosion in Oghareki.

The group led by Dr. Jacob E. Ighere, President General, Oghara Elite Forum (OEF)condoled with the parents who lost two children to the inferno, they also visited families and victims of the fire incident that took place in the early hours of New Year day, Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in Oghareki, Oghara Kingdom.

The team which basically consists of the new Executive Members of the foremost socio-political group in Oghara Kingdom commiserated with the affected members of the community and advised them on how best to handle fire issues.

They seized the opportunity to examine the extent of damage and losses from the inferno which was traced to surface stored petroleum products in the vicinity.

Dr. Ighere who spoke condoled with the bereaved and express sympathy with those injured as well as those who lost properties worth several hundreds of million naira said that it was quite unfortunate that incident happened at this time of the current economic downturn.

Dr. Ighere, immediate Past Deputy Rector, Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, Delta State stressed the need to be more careful in the handling of petroleum products because of their highly inflammable nature.

The President General of Oghara Elite Forum (OEF,) advised the people to desist from using surface storage tanks to store highly inflammable petroleum products near residential areas with high density of population.

According to Dr. Ighere, “we have come on behalf of Oghara Elite Forum (OEF) to commiserate and condole with you on the loss of your loved ones and your valuable properties that runs into several millions of naira.

“We are with you in this trying times and urge you all to be more careful in handling of petroleum products because they are highly inflammable. Let’s be more cautious because life is precious and acquiring new properties cost much.”

The President General was accompanied by Mr. Tedman Odugo, first Vice President General, Engr.
