NUJ Warri Celebrates Tonlagha, Pondi @ Monthly Congress

The February monthly Congress of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel took a dramatic twist as members of the Chapel on Tuesday turned the gathering into celebrating the birth anniversary of Engr. Matthew Tonlagha and Chief Kestin Pondi.
It could be recall that Engr. Matthew Tonlagha, Chief Executive Officer, Maton Engineering Limited and High Chief Engr. Kestin Pondi, Managing Director, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) marked their birthdays on Monday, February 2 and Wednesday, February 4, 2026 respectively.
The atmosphere was electrified moments after Chairman of the Chapel, Mr Victor Okpomor announced to members the birthday of the two great illustrious sons of the Niger Delta.
The pronouncement was accompanied with praises and avalanche of prayers from the pen pushers.
Though, belated, the Chapel wished the two outstanding personalities, blessed, happy and successful new age.
The Chapel acknowledged the immense contributions of the celebrants to the advancement of the well-being of the Niger Deltans in particular and Nigerians in general.
The Chapel noted that the celebrants had
earned national and international accolades for their contributions to the development of the Niger Delta.
The Chapel described the celebrants as distinguished and detribalised Nigerians
whose roles have continued to inspire the younger generation.
The Chapel further described the accomplished professionals as beacons of hope to the younger minds whose humanitarian gestures remain exemplary.
The Chapel prayed God to continue to grant the distinguished personalities more of grace, wisdom, strength and good health to continue to contribute to the overall development of the Niger Delta region in particular and Nigeria in general.
The Chapel, however, joins millions of friends and well-wishers across the globe to rejoice with the celebrants, while wishing them good health and more fruitful years of celebrations.
“May the Almighty God continue to grant your heart desires,” the Chapel said.
