The Credentials Committee for the 2024 Triennial Delegates Conference of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has announced a significant reduction in the cost of nomination forms for various positions.
This decision follows a thorough review and numerous requests from potential candidates and key stakeholders expressing concerns over the initial pricing.
According to a statement by Comrade Michael Ikeogwu, Chairman of the Credentials Committee, and Alhaji Ademu Seidu, Secretary, effective immediately, the new costs for nomination forms are as follows:
– **President**: #350,000
– **Deputy President**: #250,000
– **Zonal Vice President**: #220,000
– **Treasurer**: #220,000
– **Auditor**: #220,000
– **Financial Secretary**: #220,000
– **Zonal Secretary**: #180,000
The committee emphasized that the schedule and guidelines for the conference, as previously issued, will remain unchanged.
