High Chief Emanuel Oritsejolomi Uduaghan, The Alema of Warri Kingdom has called on the Nigerian Senate and Senator Godswill Akpabio to give his wife, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan the respect that is due her as a Senator and respectable house wife.
Breaking his silence on the dispute between his beloved wife and Senate President, Senator Akpabio in a statement personally signed by him made available to Reformer newspaper in Warri Saturday evening, High Chief Uduaghan said that despite his efforts to amicably resolve the matter before now proved abortive as his darling wife continues to face harassment.
According to High Chief Uduaghan, “on hearing of the issue, I met with Senator Akpabio, who is a family friend. I urge him to treat my wife with respect. We reached an understanding to settle the issue amicably.”
Chief Uduaghan however lamented that despite this agreement, his wife remains troubled with undeserved continuous harassment.
The Alema of Warri Kingdom added, “my wife was duly elected by her people because of the immense love, respect, and confidence they have in her. She is a devoted wife, and the bond we share is deep and unwavering.
“I have unwavering faith in my wife’s loyalty, and I am fully committed to our marriage, which is built on love, compassion, and mutual respect.”
High Chief Uduaghan then called on the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to uphold the dignity of its members just as he also called on the leadership of the Senate under Akpabio to ensure that his wife receives the respect she deserves while legal proceedings on the matter continue.
