Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, has charged workers of Warri South Local Government Council to stay safe and strictly practice COVID – 19 preventive measures, saying only a healthy workforce would guarantee a better economy and ultimately enjoy enhanced welfare.
Dr. Tidi gave the charge last night, Thursday April 30 in a press statement to commemorate workers’ day today, May 1.
While reiterating the resolve of his administration to continuously upgrade the working environment and improve workers’ welfare with a view to ensuring quality service delivery, Dr. Tidi enjoined staffers of Warri South Local Government Council to take the COVID – 19 preventive measures message such as compulsory use of face mask in public places, use of hand sanitizers as well as consistent washing of hands with soap and running water, to the grassroots.
He assured that his leadership was working with the state government and the council branch executive of NULGE to contain the spread of Coronavirus in Warri South Local Government , so as to return the council area to its proper footing for rapid socio – economic and infrastructural development.
