OCHOR BAGS DISTINGUISH LEADERSHIP AWARD

Hon Ochor Chris Ochor, Executive Director, Social Services Development, Delta State oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) has bagged the award of distinguish leadership from the national body of Delta State Students, National Association of Delta state Students, (NADESSTU).
Bestowing the prestigious award on him, Com. Samuel Agolo, National President, NADESSTU disclosed that Hon Ochor was recognised for the distinguish award by the present Executives of the union because of his exemplary leadership records and service to humanity.
Com. Agolo said that one of the conditions was on the fact that records shows that Hon. Ochor is a detribalized Deltan who has been going out of his way to touch lives of the people irrespective of the tribe hence the recognition by the organisation to accord him such honour because of his exemplary personality.
The student body however used the occasion to remind DESOPADEC on her responsibilities to students of Delta State origin from her mandate areas.
Receiving the award, Hon Ochor expressed his appreciation to God and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, governor of Delta State for the opportunity to be alive to work for humanity and the appointment to serve Deltans, he thanked the students for the recognition and his induction into the Hall of Fame of NADESSTU.
According to Hon. Ochor, “because I did not apply for this award and it was not given to me to get something in return from me, it is commendable and quite satisfying. I give God the glory for this honour done me and for giving me life, I will do more for humanity. I am using this medium to express my appreciation to Senator Okowa for finding me worthy of this appointment, lets us give him the much needed support to enable him deliver democracy dividends to Deltans.
“This award no doubt will spur me to work harder and do more for the overall good of humanity.”
