married couple urged to be tolerant with each other
PHILIP JEREMIAH, YENAGOA
Married couples have been advised to make tolerance their life wire if they wish to make success of their union as any marriage devoid of it is bound to fail.
The advice was handed down by Chief Omiela Orufawari at the marriage reception between Mr. Inala Alafa and Dr. Mercy Alafa held at the Lady Diama Memorial Event Centre in Yenagoa.
According to Orufawari, only love cannot sustain marriage, adding that another important ingredient is maturity and above all making God the centre piece of the marriage.
He warned that marriage is not an institution met for boys and girls but tor matured adults willing to tolerate the excesses of each other, noting that as persons from different upbringing and discipline there are bound to be challenges.
Chief Orufawari opined that couple should not allow third parties to interfere in their marriage whenever there is disagreement but rather try to solve their problems themselves.
The groom, Inala Alafa expressed gratitude to God for making the marriage a reality as well as to all those who one way or the others contributed to the success, describing his bride as a kindhearted, calm, easy going and a lovely person with an understanding heart.
He advised single men to always rely on God’s guidance when looking for a life partner, saying that there is a woman for everyman but it takes God to give the woman or your dreams.
The bride, Dr. Eneni Mercy Alafa described her husband as an unexpected gift from God with a benevolent heart and thanked everyone for their sacrifice and show of love, praying God to bless them abundantly.
Mrs. Ebitienye Roberts, the mother of the bride said her joy knew no bounds to witness the marriage of her daughter, adding that early this year one of her sons also got married.
Mrs. Roberts, while whishing the couple long life, prosperity, peaceful marriage and all the best wishes married couples’ desire, prayed for God’s guidance for those who came from far and near journey mercies back to their various destinations.
